Its really over, WOW I can't believe how fast June went by. It feels like we just started class a week ago, But here we are in our last day of class, waiting for our peach cobbler that probably will never come. So while most of you are done for classes and get to go enjoy the rest of the summer I get to keep on with these darn things! I still have physical science to complete and in two weeks I'll be starting my criminology class. Even after those to are over I'll be taking intersession classes, YAY for me!! NOT!! This is the first summer where Ive gotten absolutely no break what so ever, but I sure will be happy when I get out of school earlier then I was supposed to so I cant complain! Well it was great to meet all of you'll! Keep reading my blog ill try to keep it up!

Random Thought

As the summer semester continues I'm am realizing more and more how improper my Spanish is... I'm actually learning a lot as I help my roommate with her Spanish homework every night. I've also realized that I never really learned why it is that we use certain word i certain spot or things of the sort... I just learned Spanish, I just speak it because I know what to say but I never knew why. On another, not lighter note, I was walking to class today with my roommate and we stumbled upon this poor baby geese... he was in the grass face up, dead. It was sad and it made me wonder was it is exactly that these Geese do out there. Just a thought! random

From Past to Present

I was speaking to my roommate, who is a advertising major, the other day and we were talking about blogging and such... Its really interesting how far we've come in the last couple of years. Every sort of communication is now technological. I think im one of the few people that still sends letters. There's just something about being able to sit down and write to someone and know that its going to take a little more then a second to get something back. I like having to wait for that response, it somewhat more exciting. Back to technology though, she was telling me that now a days its better to actually put your blog on your resume. I know we've talked, some what, about that in here, its just so interesting to me that employers now look you up to see if your the type of person they want working in their business, one picture could make you or break you!

Weekend!

I had a great weekend, Very calm! I finally, after years of waiting, got a Sunday off so I got to spend it with my family. My boss told me that he is thinking about closing the store on Sundays from now on, so of course that made my weekend even greater! I love having Sundays off, I'd honestly rather work every single day and have my Sundays off then anything else. I hope every one had a great Fathers day, My dad didn't really want to do anything for his day. See my dad is a very "to himself" man, he like to be alone and usually spends his day in the garage playing old records. We wish he would show a little more emotion sometimes, but we love him just the way he is!

Cooking? Maybe not!

So I cook just about every day of my life, I really enjoy it! However today the man upstairs was telling me to hang up my chefs hat!!!! I began by heating up some oil to fry plantains, little me forgot to turn it down once it got hot and while I was frying the plantains I burnt my hand, left the spoon in the oil and melted it and burt some of them.. I managed to salvage quite a few, enough to keep me satisfied. Then I proceeded to make breaded telapia, I shouldn't have ignored the signs! While I was making it I decided to flip it over like there wasn't hot oil in the pan, yeah it splattered all over me!! Thank you judge Alex for distracting me, if it weren't for your extremely good looks I wouldn't be burnt right now! All in all my meal was delicious other then the fact that I've got 3 huge burnt on my chest and lower neck that look like hickeys... I guess that the price I pay for a good meal!

BLOGGING!

I've always loved to read however, I've never been good at writing but I can really say that I've enjoyed blogging. Its somewhat a journal for me, even though I'm not pouring my heart out to you'll it still feels nice to sit down and write down some of my thoughts. I've even gotten some of my friends from out of class to start reading my blog, which may be a bad idea. LOL But i really like blogging and I think ill keep it up for a while.

Flooded Mornings!

My morning in a nutshell: woke up to my roommates room flooding at 5am, Btw we live on the 1st floor! We decided to drive to school together, just because we thought it would be safer that way. We should have taken the 3 extra steps to my truck! But no we decided to take my roommates rental, a beetle! Lets just say we didn't make it very far, the above picture is were we had to stop... I guess my morning wasn't to bad just a little frustrating! I hope everyone was safe yesterday!

I said "she needs padding"!

Here's an update on my CRAZY roommate and her extremely bad luck with cars!! This friday all the girls decided that we should have a girls night at Applebees. When we left my roommate was driving behind me, I was just jamming in my car when I slammed on the brakes at a red light and BOMB!! Yes my roommate rear ended me! when I slammed on my brakes she was looking down changing the radio station.. Bad timing huh! So yeah, we waited about 45 min for the cops to get there and another 45 for the tow truck...My poor dear child was freaking out the whole time! I felt so bad for her, we would just be standing there in silence when she would just start balling and saying how she was never going to have children because they say they're going to be ten times worse to you then you were to your parents... The cop just kept asking me if she was always this animated lol! BTW he was a cutie, highlight of my night! Well that was my weekend! Im just happy that shes ok and so am I, better that she hit me then anyone else, I say!

Help me I cant get up!

So, Hmmm I just realized that I start a lot of my post with so...anyways, I've been experiencing sleep paralysis a lot lately. Ive always struggled with it, when I say struggle I mean struggle, literally, but lately it's gotten a lot worse! Ive had it two days in a row this week and yesterday when it happened I struggled to get up for about 15min. I finally got my foot to move so I tried to get my sisters attention with it, as I was napping on her couch, I guess she finally realized that something was wrong so she came over all panicked, by then though I finally had forced myself to open my eyes! I'm seriously starting to worry about this! So I've decided to no longer nap!! Anyways, I was looking at art and came upon this painting by Salvador Dali, he too struggled with sleep paralysis and this painting was based on his struggle. Its called "Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bumblebee Around a Pomegranate One Second before Awakening."
Just thought it would be something interesting for you'll to look at.

Medical Mystery

Lately my roommates heart has been acting up on her, It happens mostly when she eats. It sounds something like bomb bomb....LONG, EXTREMELY LONG, pause..BOMB!!!! We finally got her to go to the doctor, after a long night of begging! Apparently her left ventricles isn't working, so her right one has to make up for the work it isn't doing. That's where the big BOMB comes in. Yesterday they hooked her up to a halter so they can see if there's something that triggers it or if it just, as the doctor said, "wired differently then 98% of the population. So keep her in your prayers guys and hopefully, if God permits, its nothing bad! On a lighter note we've been minus one for the last couple of days in our apartment. Luci's been in NY, concrete jungle were dreams are made of.... LOL sorry I just had to! She left last Saturday and will be back this Saturday, but we miss here terribly! Our apartment is so weird without her but non the less I hope shes having a great time and enjoying every minute of it!

Yay for jobs!

Sitting in class and I have absolutely nothing to write, I have just realized though that today is my first day off in 7 days! YAY for me! I've really liked my job since I started, however I'm really starting to dislike it. I have a crazy boss that freaks out if we wear nice sandals but lets us wear short to work, huh?? He also lets one of my coworkers take off an hour to go work out, what boss in his right mind allows someone to do that?! Honestly he's a very nice man, he just has some crazy ideas and he tend to favor the men at our job! Now I know thats not right!

Okc Bombing

I clearly remember what I was doing the day the bombing occurred.. I was a preschooler and I remember we were sitting in our big room watching a movie when out of no where we all hear a loud boom as the room shook. At the moment and at my age I didn't understand what was happening around me, all I remember is going out side, while the teachers tried to figure out what was going on, and seeing a cloud of smoke coming from downtown. At that moment I didn't realize all the lives that had, in that moment, changed forever. I now attend the church across the street from the memoria and even though I see it every Sundayk, it still pains me to know that out there, there are people welling to do just about anything to make a point. Even if it means ending many innocent lives.

You have to love this girl, her songs are AMAZING!

Background Check

So I realized that my Blog is mostly about living with my roomies however you'll know very little about them so I decide to give you'll a little background. Whitney is an Advertisement major that honestly needs to be a women study major. I swear she'd burn her bras if she was a 1st wave feminist but she knows we've evolved! This girl has changed her major a million times so naturally shes been in college more yrs then needed, but shes honestly one of the most kind hearted people I know. Shes the one that always see the good in people and she'll never judge anyone but shes not scared of telling it to you how it is! BTW shes the one that always wrecks her cars...LOL! Now Luci is the complete opposite of Whitney, she's a Criminal Justice major so she's been programed to think that every situation is going to turnout bad, she got so mad at us the other day just because we left the door unlocked and we were ten feet away. She is however the one that keeps us grounded and we love her for that... She also always has the best advice and shes the most determined person I know. I love these girls, best roomies ever....

Stop! Don't Drive!

Have you ever had a friend that's so clumsy you just want to put padding on them before they do anything, well my roommate is one of those except she doesn't hurt herself, she always hurts her cars! She has the most random car accidents in the world, about 2 months ago a trash truck latched on to her car and dragged her for about a mile until the guy finally "realized" she was latched on! Crazy!! LOL well last night we were going out, we stopped at an ATM to take out cash and when she was driving away I asked her if she had gotten my debit card. Being the dork that she is she just jumps out of the car with it in reverse, I freak out but I cant get it to stop, all the while she is running beside the car trying to jump in, she stops it just in time not to hit our friend that was parked behind us but the door hits the pole and bends backwards! Poor girl starts freaking out but the first thing she says to me is "if you still want to go out you can go with them" hahaha No way was I going to leave her alone like this! Thank the lord out friend semi fixed it and it shuts you just have to slam it! But good enough till she can get it to her dad!

Creativity = FAIL?

As children we prided ourselves on being able to make just about anything out of a cardboard box. Shows like Barney taught children to use their imagination but even Barney was ridiculed. I, like many of us, denied the existence of Barney, when in reality I owned the Barney board games... So yes I agree with Ken Robinsons, creativity doesn't just consist on being a good artist or being a musician. Children are creative every day of their lives until someone teaches them that every thing has a purpose and it can only be used that way. Right is right and wrong better not be within 20 feet of you vocabulary! That box that once was a gateway to the universe is now just that, a cardboard box where ever toy and gadget that once opened their minds to a whole new world, get stashed in and moved to the darkest corner of the attic!

First time cookin!

IM ALIVE!!! You ask why im so happy about the obvious?? My roommate cooked for the first time ever, yes I was scared!! Im usually the one that cooks in this house hold but last sunday she decided that she would cook for us, we said yes... A very shady yes but a yes non the less! But here I am and I must give her props, it was quite good! She made spaghetti with garlic bread...Yum Yum! I may just pass down my cooking utensils, well maybe not but for her first time cooking she did great!!

Sad, true but very funny!! As an advocate of non-discrimination I should find the lack of color in hollywood movies offensive, however I don't! Get over it people, if we really had a problem with it then we would boycott movies, however thats never going to happen. We just love them way to much! Im sure more then half of us go to the movies at least twice a month and we rent movies even more. I guess what im trying to say in this point-less post is... I guess im not trying to say anything! I just thought Paul Mooney's comment was interesting and very funny! I do however think that Tom Hanks as a ninja would be a complete disaster!!

Spanish horrors!

My roommate is half Mexican half white and she speaks not a word of Spanish unless its a bad word! I'm sitting here in the MSS office trying to help her with her Spanish HW and I honestly have no clue on some of these words. I've spoken Spanish all my life, it was my first language but I'm just as confused as she is on some of this. I guess I just never learned the proper Spanish, you could compare it to British English and American English, as similar as they are in some aspects they're very different in others. I know slang Spanish lol! So this goes out to my mother, thanks mommy for not teaching me the proper Spanish and letting me go throughout life thinking my Spanish was good! I guess I'll never stop learning...

SwearJarr?? Huh

So my roommate is going to love this.... She is a Twitter fanatic, no joke! She can't even go to sleep without twitting first, its kinda sad if you ask me. Anyways shes also into helping out others. I was looking through mashable.com and found this link about twitter creating a swearjarr, each time someone swears it charges them a fee, well its more like you can choose to donate, but either way whatever you donate will go to a charity that twitter chooses at the beginning of each month...pretty cool huh? First ever!

This is my first blog, ever. Im very excited to give everyone a little view into my life and my life with roommates. I've had a roommate before but we were never in the same room for more then 2 min. and I've never had to pay rent before. Now I find myself with 2 roommates and a huge rent bill!
